Women in Northern Ireland Conference
Join us for our conference as we examine women’s experiences of life in Northern Ireland over the past 25 years. We will discuss how equality for women has improved over the years and what barriers and challenges they continue to face and what more needs to be done to improve sex equality in Northern Ireland.
During the conference we will explore equality law, work and employment, politics and public life and the launch of new research which examined the impact of Brexit on women in Northern Ireland.
There will be a keynote speech by Senior Legal Figure, followed by input and panel discussion with representatives from the legal profession including solicitors Lorraine Keown, Michelle McGinley and Barrister Emma McIlveen. Speakers will also include Caitroina McCusker, Northern Ireland Regional Market Leader at PwC, Grainia Long, CEO of NIHE and Judith Gillespie, CBE. We will also be launching to new research findings by Katharine A. M. Wright and Ruth McAreavey.
Spaces for the conference are limited. If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know so we can reallocate your booking.
This is the first in a series of events to mark the 25th anniversary of the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.
