Public Sector Procurement - How to find public sector tenders, and how to construct a response

This event is part of Go Succeed, a support service from local councils in Northern Ireland that can help to start, grow or scale a business.

This practical workshop will help participants understand public-sector tendering and prepare clear, compliant and competitive submissions. It will cover finding opportunities, interpreting tender documents, answering quality questions, pricing and avoiding common mistakes.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Identify suitable public-sector tender opportunities
• Understand specifications, selection criteria and scoring methodologies
• Structure strong, evidence-based responses to quality questions
• Develop realistic and competitive pricing submissions
• Check tender responses for compliance before submission

This event will be facilitated by Deirdre Fitzpatrick, who is an experienced business consultant, trainer and mentor with extensive expertise in public procurement and tender preparation. She has developed successful submissions for councils, government agencies and publicly funded programmes across Northern Ireland, supporting organisations to interpret requirements, demonstrate social value, develop delivery methodologies and produce persuasive, compliant bids.

Please note as this is an in-person event, the registration numbers for this are restricted. Whilst Go Succeed operates across NI, this event is being hosted by Derry City and Strabane District Council therefore should the event reach capacity and a waiting list be created, priority access will be given to Businesses based in the Derry City Strabane District Council area.
