PR: More Than Socials

Overview

Cost: Free

This event is part of Go Succeed, a support service from local councils in Northern Ireland that can help to start, grow or scale a business.

This dynamic two-hour masterclass is designed for new business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs ready to elevate their brand presence beyond basic social media activity. Through engaging presentations, real-world examples, and expert insights, participants will explore proven strategies for creating a robust, multi-channel approach to public relations and promotional activity.

We'll break down the PR landscape, help you identify key media opportunities, and build confidence in leveraging diverse channels - from earned media placements and strategic partnerships to traditional outreach.

Featuring guest speakers who will impart their invaluable experience, this session will equip you with the tools and mindset to identify potential opportunities and take decisive action and achieve sustainable, wide-ranging brand visibility.

By the end of the master class, participants should have an understanding of the following:

  • PR Channel Overview – Gain insight into diverse channels (e.g., media relations, content marketing, events, partnerships, digital PR) and how to choose the right mix for your business.
  • Real-World Application – Learn through practical case studies and actionable tips shared by guest speakers with real-world experience.
  • Media Outreach Confidence – Build confidence in approaching journalists, influencers, and partners through practical guidance and templates.
  • Actionable PR Plan – Leave with the motivation and insight to build a multi-channel action plan for a new PR strategy.
  • Mindset & Measurement – Develop a proactive mindset for consistent PR efforts and learn key metrics to measure your success beyond likes and shares.
