Neurodiversity in the Workplace

Did you know that around 1 in 7 people (more than 15% of people in the UK) are neurodivergent, meaning that the brain functions, learns and processes information differently?   In this seminar, we will explain the terminology around neurodiversity and provide advice and guidance on promoting a neuro-inclusive workplace, while complying with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. 

We are excited to welcome, Niamh Rainey, Employment Development Manager in the NOW Group, who, together with a participant with lived experience, will discuss the barriers faced getting and maintaining a job due to a neurodivergent condition; what worked and what didn’t work.

At the end of this session participants will be able to:

• Distinguish between different types of neurodivergence.

• Understand best practices as to how to take a more proactive and inclusive approach to recruiting and supporting staff in your organisation.

Please note that you may be able to obtain (Continuing Professional Development) CPD credit from your professional body (Law Society/CIPD) for attendance at our course/webinar/seminar. Please retain all records as it will be up to the attendee to provide as much information as possible to the professional body who will consider it on a case-by-case basis.
