Managing the Media

Overview

Cost: Free

As a charity or voluntary organisation, public and stakeholder awareness of your organisation and your mission is critical. The mainstream media can influence public dialogue and confer credibility on the issues you want to highlight. For this reason, the mainstream media is a publicity tool that you can’t ignore for your awareness campaigns.

Sarah Travers is a former BBC journalist and has designed this interactive and practical session to help you improve how you work with the media and communicate your message. You will also receive on the day one to one support, practice and feedback.

Who is this session for?

If you want to get mainstream media to be interested in your story this training is for you. It is for those who represent their organisation or cause on the radio or TV, through interviews and live content.
