Leaner & Greener Masterclass: Telling your Sustainable Story
Overview
Cost: Free
Leaner & Greener is our dedicated Climate Action programme, supporting Tourism businesses on their Green journey, by first of all taking active steps to address Energy, Water, Waste and Food Waste.
Join us on Monday 7th October for this in-person Leaner & Greener event led by Tina O’Dwyer, The Tourism Space.
During this masterclass session, we will be exploring the importance of storytelling for your sustainability journey, including cost effective and innovative ways of telling your story to realise your investment and increase market share.
Tina will be shining a light on both ‘greenhushing’ (downplaying your sustainability activity) and ‘greenwashing’ (overselling what the business is doing in order to appear more environmentally friendly) and how to achieve the right balance.
Building on our previous Leaner & Greener programme activity, we will once again be taking a look at Climate Action – in particular the importance of measuring your energy, waste, water and food waste, and effective use of a carbon calculator for your business.
The session aims to help you re-focus and prioritise and will include insights from some local case studies who will be sharing details of their sustainability journey so far.
This is a half day event and will be followed by a networking lunch, giving you opportunities to engage with industry colleagues and sustainability experts.
Who should attend?
This session is free to attend and is open to all businesses within the NI Tourism & Hospitality Sector.
