The Go Succeed Start team hosts this in-person masterclass.

Starting a business is exciting - but managing the financial side can feel overwhelming. This 90-minute session from Satori Accounting is designed to help start-up founders and small business owners understand the essentials of bookkeeping so they can make confident, informed decisions from day one.

What participants will learn:

• Bookkeeping Basics: Understand the difference between bookkeeping and accounting, key financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow), and how they work together to show your business’s financial health.
• Transaction Management: Learn how to record income and expenses accurately, categorise transactions, and reconcile accounts to keep your books clean and compliant.
• Setting Up Your Financial Systems: Discover how to build a simple, scalable bookkeeping process from the start - including what to track, how often, and best practices for recordkeeping.
• Leveraging the Digital Stack: Get hands-on insight into the Satori digital finance stack, including tools like Xero, Dext, and Fathom, that streamline data entry, automate reporting, and turn numbers into actionable insights.
• Common Pitfalls and How to Avoid Them: Tips on staying organised, managing receipts and avoiding errors that can cost time and money later.
• Q&A : Wrap up with open discussion 

Please note as this is an in-person event, the registration numbers for this are restricted. Whilst Go Succeed operates across NI, this event is being hosted by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council therefore should the event reach capacity and a waiting list is created, priority access will be given to businesses based in that area.
