First Aid at Work Training - Comber

Ards & North Down Borough Council are offering free training opportunities for employees and managers who would like to become emergency first aiders within the workplace.
Delivered by NDFA, Emergency First Aid At Work (EFAW) is a one-day training course, designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to emergency situations, resulting in the attainment of a recognised EFAW qualification.
The course syllabus consists of the following:
- Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing an incident
- Managing incidents
- Managing unresponsive breathing / non-breathing casualty
- Management of a seizure
- Introduction to a defibrillator
- Management of choking casualty
- Manage a casualty with a wound and bleeding
- Manage a casualty in shock
- Manage a casualty with a minor injury

Please note that all event cancellations must be made with 48 hours’ notice, otherwise they will be subject to an £8.50 cancellation fee. Paid events cancelled within 24 hours will be charged the full amount.
