This workshop is for you if you’re at an early stage of your business start-up journey and you want to incorporate critical competitor analysis into your business.

We will show you how to conduct competitor analysis in a structured way without getting bogged down in the details, and use this to adjust your own start-up business model and how you set yourself apart.

You will learn:

• The critical importance of relevant research (including AI) into your products/services, key markets and key competitors.
• How to identify your primary, secondary and aspirational competitors and understand their business models, using a simple checklist approach.
• How to analyse your competitors in a structured way using a well-proven technique and simple templates that you can use in your business.
• Why copying your competitor’s pricing model isn’t always a good thing.
• The importance of brand identity and differentiating yourself from your competitors in your key markets.
• How to identify gaps, opportunities, and niche markets using competitor analysis.
• Why competitor analysis is not a one-off (hint: markets, customers, products, pricing all keep changing) and what you can do about it.
• How to embed competitor analysis in your business without losing your own focus.

This event will provide a simple framework and useful templates that you can apply to your own business straight away, plus the chance to ask questions about your own challenges and learn from other real-life start-up cases.

This Go Succeed workshop is open to all individuals in the early stages of their business, throughout Northern Ireland, and is facilitated by Enterprise Northern Ireland.
