CEP Prep Learning Session 4

Cost: Free

This session is aimed at those with an interest in healthcare and who may apply for the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme.

This interactive session will take you through exercises to help you perfect your pitch. This session aims to give you confidence to articulate your ideas to a range of stakeholders, from your peers to potential investors.

Hosted by: Jon Torrens

Jon has worked as a designer (and experienced the joy of deadlines) at games companies including Sony and Electronic Arts, and as a professional stand-up comic for a few years, so he knows how to engage and motivate. Now, as a coach and speaker, he teaches effective communication, using his personal skills to both show and tell. He delivers training for a range of clients in London and Cambridge, including Foster + Partners, Raspberry Pi, Redgate, Microsoft Research, Creative Assembly and Cambridge University. Unique insights from the worlds of computer game design and stand-up comedy enable even the most introverted of his clients to deliver presentations that delight and motivate their audiences.

“Once in a generation, someone comes along who changes everything. Jon Torrens is not that person, but he met them once and tried to wow them with his Alec Guinness impression.”

Learning outcomes:

You will gain the skills, knowledge, and experience to pitch and articulate ideas quickly and concisely to a range of audiences.
