Belfast City Centre Management
BCCM exists to deliver additional services into Belfast city centre, on behalf of its core funders, which contribute in a measurable way to a cleaner, safer, more attractive, accessible and economically vibrant city. This is done, in part, by leveraging public/private sector finances which are crucial to the maintenance of existing services in the City Centre as well as maximising the opportunities to encourage and stimulate private sector funding of city centre initiatives
Belfast City Centre Management Company does not in any way duplicate the activity of others but rather provides:
1. Essential additional City Centre Services
2. A co-ordination mechanism to maximise private sector engagement and joined-up working in Belfast City Centre.
BCCM is a public private partnership company funded by Belfast City Council and the Department for Communities. We are legally constituted as a Company Limited by Guarantee with a representative Board of Directors.
BCCM exists as an operational delivery vehicle for our funders. We deliver additional services into Belfast City Centre which contribute in a measurable way to a cleaner, safer, more attractive, accessible and economically vibrant city. The projects which we deliver are organised under three themes:
- Public Space Management;
- Safer City;
- Economic Performance.
Each of our projects are detailed within our Business Plan. BCCM also works closely with our partners by developing its policies and communication to act as an enabler for the city centre.
BCCM operates within Belfast’s core city centre. The area is bounded in the north at the junction of Royal Avenue and Donegall Street, in the East by the river Lagan, in the South at the junction of Shaftesbury Square and the Lisburn Road, and in the west by Great Victoria Street and Millfield.
